As a quick (and basic) explanation for virgin web users, there are a number of elements to creating a website on the internet. These are;

• A registered domain name – such as mysite.co.uk, etc. You have to purchase this through a domain seller
• A website – which a number of files of internet ‘code’ that lets you browser know how to display your site content
• Hosting – somewhere for your website code to live on the internet

With those 3 basic elements you will have a website on the internet with a domain name which points users to your website.

But that’s not the end of the story. You also need to consider how people will find YOUR website out of the millions of websites on the internet. This is where something called search engine optimisation (SEO) comes in. You need to tell search engines about your site and make it friendly for the search engine robots to find each page.

Without SEO, your website is almost pointless for generating new leads.

Listed below are the services we provide in order to both get your website on the internet but also to get it NOTICED.

Domain Registration

Once your domain is registered you will need to renew the registration yearly. Costs depend on the suffix of the domain name but the most popular are;

yoursite.co.uk – £6 per year (purchased 2 years at a time)
yoursite.org.uk – £6 per year (purchased 2 years at a time)
yoursite.me.uk – £6 per year (purchased 2 years at a time)
yoursite.com – £17 per year
yoursite.net – £17 per year
yoursite.biz – £17 per year
yoursite.co – £40 per year

The above prices include all setup costs (ie nameserver changes, etc)

Hosting

We provide a fully managed hosting facility with support services for both plain, database driven and eCommerce websites. Prices depend on how much space and bandwidth your site uses. Five POP3 email addresses are included with your hosting (so you can set up sales@yoursite.co.uk, orders@yoursite.co.uk, etc), as well as all infrastructure updates through the year;

£25 per year – 1 year hosting with 5mg web space and 5 POP3 email accounts
£5 per year – for each extra 1mg of web space
£5 per year for every extra 5 POP3 email accounts

And for sites requiring SSL (secure server – for eCommerce type sites);
£80 per year – Comodo Domain validated SSL certificate
£210 per year – Comodo company validated SSL certificate

Web Design

Web design is specific to the business/individual/product you are designing for. Below are some guide prices that will give you an idea of the costs involved in the development of your site.

For sites developed by us, we include some SEO work. This will include the setting up of social networking, submitting your site to the most common search engines, and initial provision of some high quality backlinks for your site. For an ongoing SEO campaign (which is the recommended way to get your site to page 1 of Google and keep it there), take a look in our SEO section below.

Basic CMS (content management) website with 4 static pages – £250
Extra CMS pages – £35
Gateway page – £40 (usually one basic page with one image with optimised text and links to other pages on your website)
Full eCommerce website – £500+

Support package (recommended for eCommerce websites) – £200 per year

Website Administration – we will manage your site content and upload your posts for you if you don’t feel able to do it for yourself. All you need to do is send us the text, and image you want, and the place where you want the content on your website and we’ll generate and publish the post for you at a cost of £5 per post. Each post will also be published to your social network.
